The Rock Partners With Ex-Wife to Buy the XFL

The XFL, an alternative to the NFL, was founded in 2000 by the WWE. It went away, but was determined to make a grand comeback in 2020. Well, COVID-19 had other plans. When COVID-19 arrived, the league filed for bankruptcy and that was that.

Now, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, his ex-wife, and a top sports management agency have teamed together to bring it back!! This new team of owners paid $15 million to bring the XFL back.

The Rock's decision to save the XFL was because of his "passion for the game" and his "desire to always take care of the fans."

There is no word on when the XFL will resume play.
